How should I store my products?
Whipped Butters: Store it in the refrigerator. If left outside in a warm room melting may occur but will not affect the quality of the whipped butter as a great moisturizer, but the whipped consistency will change. It will become more like a body balm.
Whipping adds tiny air bubbles (just like whipping cream) that increase the size, lighten the density, and change the texture of the butter, making it light and fluffy.
If a whipped product melts, the air bubbles collapse, decreasing the volume. This means that your purchased product, although initially filled to the top, may actually look less full if the butter melts.
We have had customers scoop out the butter and whip it back up with an electric whisk. The butter has to be very cold for this to work well.
Sugar Scrubs: Depending on the amount of product purchased and the frequency of use you may wish to store it in the refrigerator. If it begins to harden give it a stir until it reaches the original consistency. Since Ageless Essentials uses organic ingredients there is a slight chance of it going bad after an extended period of time in a moisture-rich environment such as the bathroom. If you purchase anything larger than the 8-ounce size, scoop out what you need for the week in a smaller container to leave in the bathroom.
What are you doing to ensure that the products mailed out does not melt in transit?
While we have no control over the temperature conditions once your package leaves our shop, we do our best to protect our products from melting in transit:
We check every product before it is packed for shipping
We use more protective packaging in the heat of summer
We use boxes that allow more padding for insulation.
We have switched many of our products to plastic jars with aluminum twist lids to help prevent leakage.
We wrap our delicate products in bubble wrap or another padding for an additional layer of insulation.
We also offer next day delivery.
As a result, most products shipped in warm weather arrive without melting, but please understand, there is no way that we can ship products to completely control for the high heat temperatures of summer, trucks, and mailboxes.
