Refined versus unrefined

My mother always said what you put into something is what you will get out of it.
At Agelessess Essentials we use unrefined, virgin oils and butters. The benefits of using unrefined oils is they retain their natural scent, color and most importantly their nutritional benefits. A perfect example is Coconut oil.
One of the most immediate differences between Virgin and Refined Coconut Oil is the taste and aroma. While Virgin (unrefined) Coconut Oil boasts a delicious, tropical coconut scent and flavor, Refined Coconut Oil has a neutral scent and flavor. Another thing to consider is that companies use harsh chemicals to produce refined coconut oil. They do this in order to squeeze the last bits of product they can get which in turn makes everything cheaper for the consumer and more profitable for the producer. The process of producing Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is the fresh coconut meat is scooped out of the shell by hand, then cold pressed, leaving just the oil which has a pure coconut flavor. This is more expensive but the better option to ensure that you as a consumer receives the superior products.

Using the cheaper mass produced products on the service sounds like a great idea, who doesn’t want to spend less money and get similar results.
One thing you have to keep in mind is the synthetic ingredients found in non-organic products may be fast acting, but they are also invasive, causing harm that cannot be seen. The included chemical ingredients may provide instant gratification and visible results, but only help you aesthetically by smoothening out wrinkles, removing sunspots, and diminishing blemishes.

These chemicals will damage and weaken your skin with prolonged use, as your body tries to cope with these foreign substances. As a result, oxygen exchange to the skin is reduced, causing premature aging and increased risk of developing sunspots.

Using natural, organic skin care products will ensure that you get the real nutritional benefits from its ingredients. Natural organic ingredients such as coconut oil, honey, aloe vera, and shea butter, for example, are known to soothe, nourish, moisturize and promote smooth skin. Though the results may be slower, organic skin care products are gentle on your skin and won’t harm you in the long run.
